The Problem

ShoreWorx ran its hire operations on Hire It Out, a system with almost no reporting tools. To produce reports, the team exported raw data from excel sheets and built everything manually. Each report took four to five hours to complete.


The quoting process added more friction. Sales staff created manual quotes outside the system, then sent them to the hire controllers, who had to re-enter the same information to raise the contract. Everyone in the business touched the same data twice.

The lack of visibility into team performance made it hard to manage the business with any confidence.


Asset depreciation was another blind spot. Without a system tracking the real value of equipment over time, pricing decisions were based on gut feel rather than data. There was no clear picture of which assets were still earning their keep and which were costing more to maintain than they brought in.
